Salud Announces New CEO
Dr. Zettie D. Page III will take over as chief executive officer of Salud Para La Gente on Aug. 2.

The current executive director of Plains Medical Center in Limon, Colorado, Dr. Page is a general medicine practitioner who also holds a doctorate in social work and an MBA in health systems. He speaks fluent Mandarin Chinese.

"The organization has done tremendous work in this community for three decades, and I am excited to be a part of it going forward. I had the opportunity to live in this area previously, and am familiar with the access to health care challenges here," Page said in the statement announcing his appointment.

Board chair Marc Pimentel noted that Page serves as one of 15 members on the National Advisory Council on Migrant Health.

Page replaces former CEO Sister Julie Hyer, who left in June to serve her order in Michigan. Chief Medical Officer Dr. José A. Chibrás has been serving as interim CEO. Salud Para La Gente provides comprehensive primary medical, dental, vision and adult day health care.
